Photo Credit Explained for Cell Cams

Every image that is transferred from the cell cam to the app will use photon credit(s), depending on the type of image:

- 1 Photo Preview = 1 credit

- 1 Video Preview = 10 credits

- 1 HD Photo = 15 credits (upon request)

- 1 HD Video = cannot be redeemed from photon credits, have to separately purchase an add-on, or opt for the "Ultimate" plan

Do I need to purchase a SIM card for my Cell Cam?

No. Our cell cams come with a pre-installed SIM card, ready to use. You can simply purchase a variety of cell plans on the KLARVUE app.

Does it support external power sources?

Yes, both the RANGER cell cam and the GUARDIAN WiFi cam support external power sources such as a solar panel.

RANGER Cell Cam Setup Guide

Setup Guide:

1. Download the KLARVUE APP from the App Store or the Google Play Store. Create an account and login.

2. Screw on the antenna to the camera tightly.

3. Unlatch the camera, then insert an SD card into the bottom right slot.

4. Pop open the battery tray by pressing the eject button at the bottom right. Insert 12 brand new lithium AA batteries into the tray. 

5. Toggle the camera to "SETUP" mode. Once on, the camera will start the "init 4G" process. Within a minute, you will see "registration complete" as well as signal bars displayed on the screen. (IMPORTANT: make sure there is cell signal nearby)

6. On the KLARVUE APP, click "ACTIVATE A DEVICE" or the "+" button at top right, select "Cellular Camera" (enable your phone's camera function if prompted) to scan the QR code, which can be found below.

4. If the activation is successful, you will be asked to assign a name for the camera. If this camera is activated for the first time, it will come with a 7-day free trial cellular plan (100 photons and 1 HD Video). Thereafter, to continue enjoying the cell function, it is vital to purchase a plan that best fits your need.

5. Now that the camera has been successfully activated, you may place your camera into the wild, toggle the camera to "ON", and wait for stunning images to appear on the KLARVUE APP.

Pro Tip: Use the "SETUP" mode to get the best camera placement angle, but please remember to toggle the camera to "ON" when you finish setting up.
